I have received a letter stating that eir have set up a direct debit to my bank account. I am not a customer, and have not been for about 5 months. I cannot get through on the phones, cannot get through on chat and despite only having received the letter today it has already passed the 7 days allowed to cancel. I need this resolved ASAP!

Go to/call your bank right away and have transaction code blocked.

    Hi LMcCormackPS,

    I'm really sorry hear this.

I would recommend contacting your bank to advise them of this so they can block this straight away.

Have you received any eir account reference details on this letter? If you have our customer care team via 1901 will be able to look into this for you or alternatively, you can chat online here

    Thanks

    Tracey

I cannot get through on the phones. Already been on for more hours then I care to count. There are no account details on the letter, just my banking details. Thanks Sour Lemonz, I did just that. Still has me very worried though.

Have you spoken to the bank and if so is this set up visible on their end?

    Thanks,

    Sarah
