Locked out of car

My key fob won't open my car. The battery is ok and my spare key fob is won't open it either. It was taking a while to open first thing in morning the last week or so. Last night the fob was working ok to unlock and lock but now it won't work it. I can't open door lock with key manually because my alarm will go off so I am stuck. I think it could be a problem with the locking sensor inside the car.

Might be a bad battery as well, This cold weather finds out weak batteries.

On a fiesta I had you could manually disarm the alarm by turning the key in the drivers door and hold it in the unlock position for 3 seconds

    OP, what car is this?
    How old is battery?

I had an old car where if the alarm went off I'd just start it up as normal and this would turn off alarm. Maybe it's this way for you too.

As said, cold spells will do *things* to old batteries that may be on their last legs anyway.

It actually turned out to be the battery much to my relief. I didn't think it was the battery because I had only changed battery a few months ago and the light on key fob was still working.
Even though the battery was not dead after I checked it's power it had not enough power to lock/unlock car. Also I was told by guy in shop where I purchased the new batteries that handling the button type batteries can shorten them so I used 2 matches to insert the new battery. Hopefully this battery will last longer.
I was very happy it wasn't a key or sensor problem.
