here's what I had today - this kind of setup:

    465472.jpg

Everything should have been plain sailing, but I was getting 'connected - No internet" and the yellow triangle on the LAN Icon next to the clock.

The eir F2000 router was at bottom of stairs - the Desktop PC was only up top of stairs on landing so not far away . The desktop PC was windows 10.

The TP-Link wireless adaptor was paired up OK with the F2000 by WPS and the wireless green light was on ok on the TP-Link adapter .

Checked the firewall that was fine , checked the IP on the LAN adaptor of the desktop PC that was all DHCP etc - checked internet connection on Windows PC and that was LAN 'detect settings automatically' - still no internet connection.

Hauled the whole desktop PC downstairs , plugged it directly hard wired ethernet into LAN 1 port on the F2000 and desktop was connecting to the net fine and getting pages - back upstairs again , plugged into the TP-link adapter connected but 'no internet access' .. what could have been blocking internet when it was connected through the TP-link adaptor?

    thanks.
