Taking Out A Loan To Emigrate?

I’ve recently been made redundant and am looking into taking out a small loan (€1500-2000) to emigrate to Canada.

I fully intend on paying the loan back as quickly in possible, it’s more of a secutity blanket to get set up in Canada. But I’m unsure if I’ll be able to secure a loan 1) as I’m unemployed and 2) if I’m leaving the country.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Without a local guarantor, probably no chance. Said guarantor would preferably have his mortgage with the same bank.
