    1. I would like to get my water tested by Irish Water, what should I do?

    Irish Water do not do private testing of drinking water quality. Irish Water are responsible for the public supply network and we publish our results of our testing on Water Supply Zones on our website. You can search for results for your area here.

    If you would like to get your water tested privately, you can find a list of accredited testing facilities here.

    2. I received my non-domestic bill in the previous owner’s name, can this be reissued in the correct name?

    Please PM us with the following details:

    - Full name;
    - Supply address;
    - Contact number;
    - WPRN; and
    - Account number.

    Once this information is confirmed, we will be able to look into this for you.

    3. I am experiencing low pressure, however there is no information on water.ie website. What should I do?

    If you are experiencing a supply disruption to your cold, kitchen tap, please send a PM with your name, address and contact number and we can investigate this:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact number.

    4. Who do I need to contact to get a map showing the location of a meter box?

    You can request a copy of a map showing the required information from the Planning Department in your Local Authority.

    5. How can I temporarily disconnect the supply if the inside stop valve is not accessible?

    In order to turn off your supply from the public mains to your property, you can switch your supply off using the outside stop valve located in your meter box.

    Once the works are complete you can turn back on your supply, as the outside stop valve is on publicly accessible land.
