Sports channel Freesports has been added to EPG channel 429 in the sports section of the Republic Of Ireland Sky Q guide.
No more going into other channels to view it.

They had the Boca v Riverplate final on last night which was brilliant. 2nd leg in two weeks will also be screened.

It’s back now.

They’re hardly going to the trouble of removing when live Pro14 games are on and re-adding after are they? I had been led to believe by some quarters that it was meant to be a bit of an ordeal to Sky to add and remove channels from the EPG.

Though if that was the reason, there seems to be no problem with today’s game (Cheetahs v Treviso) going out.

Yes, it was on my SKY+HD Box. Sky don’t have separate EPGs for different boxes, just different regions.

It’s quite odd, I just checked and I definitely still have it. But I looked on a family member’s box this afternoon (they have Sky+HD) and it was missing.

Copa Libertadores - the South American Champions League. The final has now being moved to the Bernabeu in Madrid.

During testing, the version that's broadcast here in Ireland, there was some blocking out of some rugby programmes so that might happen in the future

Presumably like Channel 4, this is now an encrypted version for Sky ROI customers that they can block the Pro14 stuff on. A lot to go through when people can just tune in the U.K. version on other channels, and they’re not even selling ROI advertising like Channel 4 is. (Though the fact that they’re based in Ireland opens that possibility up for the future).

Anyway, Heineken Cup these next two weeks, so a bit of a wait till the next Pro14 weekend to see what’s blocked.
