I was wondering what line of work straight our of college would pay most. I have a psychology degree from Trinity and work experience in management in the area of horticulture.
I've been asking, my brother in law said bar work is good as you get tax pre tips.
    Any other work?

Horrible story...... In all my experience of working. Work and pay your tax legally. The time that you spend dodging the taxman and social welfare is the time and money you could be developing yourself. If the taxman ever catches you for fiddling tax he will F^&k you up properly especially if it is historic. My bent cousins fiddles a bit of money in the 1980's, ended up having to sell a few sites to cover it.

See the Irish illegals over in the states with their arts degrees, feck all used to them and they are doing barwork. If possible be legal good and qualified. It all comes out in the wash.

I am not sure what happened here. I am just wondering, what job could I do to save few bob if I don't mind what the job is. I'm talking legal jobs paying taxes. So far Shanghai teaching English looks good. 38.5 grand a year.

A lot of the smart student who are having difficult with stupid teaching adage going for their first job are being asked "so what experience do you have?" are running off to the UAE/Dubai. They have healthcare paid for, accommodation and tax free. UAE is not the same as Saudi Arabia, you still have to show a little common sense out and about. Dubai is the Las Vegas of the Arab world. You can buy alcohol, go to western style parties, wear western clothes. Just dont stupid stuff like get into rows with locals, drink all day and then go out in public and dress inappropriately.

I realise, I am never going to be given a chance to work properly in the country (too complex for this thread due to disability over legality), I am heading there in a few years once I am done in college. There are certain schools in Dubai that would love to have you teach, I am not saying they are the easiest to teach from stories coming back. But you will get your foot in the door and you will get your deposit for a house in 2-3 years.

    Teach English in China.

Work part-time for an International school, and part-time doing private lessons.

You can easily pull in around 50k per year.

Jobs that’ll pay now probably won’t have the same potential for growth.
Always see what your salary will be like 5 years after starting

    Sales.
Mostly telesales not retail or door2door
An entry level sales person can earn up to 40K a year
    But its not for everyone

A grad program will start at 31k. Add in bonuses, pension and you are close to 40k

In 5 years you’ll be better off than the person still stuck in entry level sales
