What's the story with trodax lads? Tried a few places to get some today and none had it. Managed to get some online after a bit of searching. Is it going off the market or something?

Remember to wait at least 6 weeks post housing to give it to cattle to allow any fluke eggs to reach the immature stage. We usually do cattle with trodax round Christmas time (when there is help around).

I see they are classifying this year as having a 'moderate' fluke risk. I'm thinking if THIS year is only moderate then they need to readjust their definition parameters.

What's a good alternative, if Trodax is being withdrawn?

Deldrax is a generic of Trodax, if it is still available.

No sign of Trodax anywhere online. Surprised we did not hear if it was withdrawn. It is in some co-op shops still but not available online. Is this an attempt to force prices up on it. This is what happened with flukiver injection a few years ago it was 20/ 250mls but now is 35

I was talking to my supplier about it last week....He said Trodax is unavailable at the moment because of some problem at the manufacturers. He said it's not withdrawn, and he expects it will be available again in January....

Just got 5.8 L of Tribex from agri direct for 125 euro. Black Friday deal still running. Thought it was a good deal. Change it up a bit this year.

Gone since early in the year, the pour on was a great for treating suckler weanlings for worms. It only parylsis them and they were able to cough them out.

It was a pain in the bum anyways in the injection form as had to use such a volume of it and several different injection points

I always thought Levicide injection a great first worm treatment for weanlings in June/July.
Whats a good alternative as a first worm dose?

I don't think the active ingredient is off the market, just one company's version of it. It will be available as Nilverm, Duphalevamisole or some such product, and in combinations such as Multidose or Levafas.
Ultimately, regardless of product name, there are only three families of wormers so choice is limited in that regard: white, clear or yellow.

It was the pour on that was a great product. It was real easy to use on suckler weanling for the first worm dose. It was relatively cheap also(pour on was cheaper than injection if I remember right). No trying to bend over the crush to inject them or trying to catch there heads to orally dose them just run along crush and apply it on there backs and 2 weeks later follow up with ivermectin pour on or if fluke was suspection a super/plus form of it

In the local dairygold store today and they said Trodax has being taken off the market.
They recomended Distomicide 25% instead. Same active ingredient, Nitroxynil 25%, but dosage is a little higher (Trodax was 35%).
    Anyone use this?

Tracked some down in a pharmacy in Limerick city. They said it was not taken out of production. Hard to get though, stocks are low.
