I’m currently renting a room in a house and o find the window drafty

The candle frame flickers when I take it near it, I dont think the locking wedge is doing much TBH I can give the window a v mild push in the position where the interlock is located and it doesnt seem to hold it much.

Any ideas on how to fix, short term solutions is what I’m after as I’m renting.

Is is possible to buy a thicker interlock

Im pretty sure my hingers aren't worn

New rubbers in the window frame. They have deteriorated

was thinking that, how puffy should they be when new? fill a gap of 5mm ?

thus they should be 8mm when new and sitting on a table should they maybe ?

I would say 8 prior to compression

Most likely the rubber but it could be the hinges also if its not closing tight.

as an aside...is that a build up of mould along the bottom as shown in the last pic? If so you might want to look at this problem also as it will get worse with no fresh air coming in the window as is the case now.
