Alternative to attic water tank

    Hey guys,

We consider to convert the attic of our 3-bed terraced house and would like to get rid of the water tank as it occupies a fair amount of space.

We currently got gas heating, a hot water storage boiler in the hot press and a gas boiler in the kitchen.
The desired solution would be something that heats water and provides electricity.
If that solution could also eliminate the need for the storage boiler that would be a bonus.

Has anyone got any experience or recommendations?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Ron

Yes, you could look at replacing your current gas boiler with a gas combi boiler, and this would eliminate the need for your cylinder in the hot press.

    What you mean provide electricity?

Like solar powered, but not sure if that would generate enough electricity for heating and hot water. I saw some air-to-water systems, but not sure what to think of it.

So, a combi boiler would also eliminate the need for a water tank in the attic?
