I'm wondering does anyone know the dress code for this? Would a suit be necessary since it's only a lunch presentation and not an interview or should I just wear a suit anyway?

Everyone will be staring at you. Some will be judging you.

If it were me I'd be wearing smart casual. Maybe a shirt or t-shirt, blazer, black jeans and shoes. Something like that.

Suit is the safe option. Safe option is usually good.

Bear in mind that all of the staff there sitting at the tables with you will be wearing business attire, as it's a regular working day for them. It won't look well if you're dressed down in comparison. I'd wear a suit.

Unless the invitation says 'smart casual', a suit is the safest option.

These lunch presentations are normally a mini test/interview in themselves.

    Who made the effort?

    Who mingled?

    Who asked questions?

    Did he/she impress?
