I have no memory of this case for some reason. There's no mention of the husband in any of the reports I've read. Anyone know if he's still alive ?

Yes, alive and living in Kilkenny.

With no mention of the husband by the brother and sister doing the media work, reading between the lines he must be a person of interest in the case.

Considering her body was found in a ditch two months after she disappeared and its 34 years since her death you'd wonder what forensic DNA evidence they'd be hoping to find at this stage?

I think the husband was the last person to see her alive.

That's what I was thinking all is left now is bones. Can DNA be got from bones.

wtf are you on about, did you read the article:

"The remains of a woman who was murdered more than 30 years ago have been reinterred in a graveyard in Co Kilkenny following an examination at University Hospital Waterford."

The only possibility I can think of is that they might be looking for traces of DNA of her killer under her fingernails.

A forensics officer (talking about a different case) said you can do the job today with a thimble full of DNA compared to a pint full twenty years ago. So perhaps, they feel they can lift something off the body and finally give this woman the justice she deserves.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.
