Loyal Customer but newbies get the discounts?

    Hi there

    I've been an EIR Customer now for the best part of 12 years. 
    I am a good customer and pay my bill on time every month
    However i'm somewhat underwhelmed after i contacted the EIR office today to be told that i still have to pay 59.99 plus VAT  for the broadband and home phone bundle - but this only applies to new customers 
    Virgin have recently installed in my area and to be honest i can't see a reason to stay with EIR. Virgin offer 39 Euro a month for broadband and landline for 6 months and this is on a Fibre Optic cable from the cabinet - whereas EIR only run fibre to the cabinet
    Is there anything that EIR can do for me ?
