    Hi.
I've been trying to contact Eir by web chat and by phone for over an hour now. I tried a web chat but that timed out after an hour with no response. I have another one open now for 20 minutes and still no response. I looked at the Get in Touch page on your website and called 1747. That tells me to call 1913, which is the number for Three support, not Eir.
I tried calling the other number, 1905 but that sent me in a loop with no hope whatsoever of speaking to a person.
For a communications company you sure make it extremely difficult to communicate with you.

I'm trying to get the balance on a pre-pay sim card. Unfortunately your My Eir page does not communicate that simple piece of information very well either.
Can one of you contact me by PM please?

    Hi there Stiletto72

Have you topped up within the last 90 days? If so, you can just text "balance" to 50104

    Hi Kyle.
I have topped up in the last 90 days but the sim card is in an alarm system so I can't send texts from it.
I've been reading that there is what looks like a nationwide outage which could be casing the issue I see on my alarm.

The problems I've had trying to contact Eir have been extremely frustrating though and need to be addressed.

If you'd like to send me the number & PIN, I will be able to check the status for you so send it on via PM and I'll take a look at this for you

    Any update on this Kyle?
I tried to top up again just in case that's the problem but when I try in MyEir I get a page saying just 'denied'. When I try the Quick top up I get a blank page. I've tried on a couple of PC's with the same result.
Calling 1740 brings me to Three support, not Eir.

    Hi Kyle.

Thanks for your assistance on this and apologies for supplying an incorrect number initially.
Please do note my points around being unable to contact Eir. As I said, I should not have to rely on a 3rd party such as Boards.ie to try to get an issue resolved.
