TRV at max setting

Is a TRV at max heat setting the same as not having a TRV and the value fully open?

Or will a TRV at max setting still cut off at a certain temperature?

I have a bathroom that will rarely be used, so I would like to keep heat at a minimum setting in it.

However, whenever the bathroom is in use I would like to turn the TRV up full and for it not to cut off due to heat from steam due to shower\bath. It will just rely on thermostat that is in another room.

As far as I can remember when I fitted my TRVs many years ago the max setting gave 26C to 29C.

Thanks. Is your thinking then that TRV would cut off due to steam from shower even when on max setting?

Possibly I suppose but that's a pretty high room temperature, all mine came with white caps, you could remove the TRV head and replace it with that cap and use it to control the valve opening manually.
