Nixer jobs and skills/ qualifications

It is always useful to have a couple of licenses or qualifications under your belt to help you get through a rainy day or to supplement your income coming up to Christmas etc.
Me myself, I have a PSA security license and worked in security for 3 years going through university. I need to get myself requalified through the refresher course I think because I am going to renew my license for a nixer here and there.

That got me thinking - what jobs/skills/qualifications are good to have for a few nixers? I was thinking being a barber/hairdresser, personal training/sports instruction and any type of trade. Even a driving license can potentially give you fifty quid on a Saturday night doing deliveries.

I would imagine a lot of IT skills would help too.

What nixer jobs/skills/qualifications do you think are good?

As in grinds ? That's hard going and you are answerable to parents !

As well as my career, I'm also a cobbler in a pinch (family business).

I can give university grinds in my area as well if I'm stuck.

Yeah. It absolutely is; I don't recommend it as a career, but it can be useful in a pinch if you need some short-term cash.

IT office skills perhaps. Other IT skills like development less so. As IT projects generally want your sole commitment for long periods. Which don't suit mixers.

DIY skills and painting probably very useful.
