Peter Casey was being interviewed by Miriam this morning on rte radio and he brought up his little black book.

Basically, it's a book with a list of names of people that Peter deems no longer worth engaging with... in his words... "no longer add value to him". Each year he adds names to it. His example was a couple he meets every few weeks for dinner with the wife, he decided they weren't adding value to him so he phased them out.

So what you reckon? Cold, clinical, businessman? Or do we all have a list if not a little black book?

I'd say he's been added to a good few black books himself after his campaign.

I don't have a written list of names but I'm good at cutting people out of my life who add nothing positive to it.

I wasn't always so good at it until recent years.. I'd achieved some things which a few people said couldn't be done and had tried their best to persuade not to try reach my goals.

It was only when I reached them that I realized that misery kunts will always try bring positive people down to their level because we make them feel lonely down in their miserable little lives.

Misery loves company and all that.

It sounds a bit weird to be honest. There are people I never want to talk to again but putting down a list on paper sounds weird.

It also sounded, correct me if I'm wrong, like he's adding people who disagreed with him or felt that what he said was wrong.

Did he say that? Good on him, once you move away from your old friends that you grew up with, be waaaay more choosy/clinical about who you spend time with...life is too short!

As a teacher I came across this sort of system a few times. It's fairly prevalent among younger teenage girls.

Has he got memory problems that he's unable to remember those who he has deemed worthless?

Not that unusual. Santy has a similar list, apparently he checks it twice.
