I want to buy a pickup truck.
I want to insure and tax it privately.

Has anyone done so, and if so who is your insurer?

    Thanks!

As far as I know taxing privately is based on engine size ( like older tax system ) so example 2.0 size engine is around €700 mark ?? Not exactly sure on that price but u get what I mean.

Insurance wise , best thing to do from reading up on it and from info from friends, is to insure it commercially because it also includes social & private use . But to check with insurer to make sure. Harder the other way.

To insure a commercial vehicle, you get "use in connection with the business, as described in the schedule and social and domestic". In other words, you must disclose an occupation which is acceptable to the insurers as warranting the use of such a vehicle

    That is very stupid.

It is but the Government makes the rules and they get away with it.
