Spot Welder Plug/Wiring

    Folks,

I recently purchased a spot welder to do some work on a restoration project I am working on. It's supposed to be single phase 240v but requires a 20amp supply.

I realise I will need a dedicated socket for this in the garage but that is no problem as the garage has it's own supply panel. The plug on the welder is a bit off and doesn't match up with any of the 16 or 30 amp plugs that can be purchased in the hardware store.

Can anyone provide any practical advice on what is needed to hook this up to the mains supply, thanks!

    BR Peter.
