Trail cam or wireless security camera recommendation

A friend of mine is having a problem recently not only with poaching but also repeated vandalism to a cabin that he built on his permission to shelter from bad weather and to get his head down for the night on the odd occassion that he runs out of daylight so he can't get out of the place.

The shoot is in a remote forested area which is hard going to get
to , even in daylight and would be extremely difficult /dangerous to access at night , so he's pretty certain that it's happening during the day. He is the only one allowed to shoot on this ground and the place is well sign posted that no shooting is allowed, so whoever is going in there know they shouldn't be there , not to mention the damage being done to the cabin . The landowner told him to go ahead and put a camera up to try to find out who the culprit(s) is.

Long story short, can anyone here recommend a reasonably priced trail cam / wireless security camera that when triggered would take decent video during daylight (don't really need night time recording for the reason mentioned above ).

Just make sure they do not have a visible flash, and that they are silent.

Also, get a few signs printed up like DANGER! Alarm Mines! with a nice skull and crossbones. Hang a few of them on the approaches to the cabin and around the perimeter.Run a few blatantly obvious "trip wires" round the perimeter too if you want to go a hog on it.If you want, connect them to an alarm gun,just be aware of the legalities of this.Or rig it to a trip wire battery powered personal attack alarm.Sometimes just fuking with peoples minds can be enough to deter them for good too.:D

Having a few 'issues' on the farm n haven't the time or energy for stakeouts.

I would say to read the specs and reviews before you buy

No flash , but visable IR glow and can be seen at night, but you can get them for 40 euro now on ali express.

you can get the non GSM cameras for about 25 euro - a few of them around the wood high up in trees would be pretty effective in warning off poachers. almost better to make tham aware of the cameras.

A lot of them are saying they work with 2G SIM cards, would they operate with the 3G and 4G cards out now?

Yes, they do. But the easiest card to use with them is Meteor,or whatever they are called today. They have a preset for this in their programme.
