Was there last year with the kids. Peters Brauhaus is worth a visit, Chocolate Museum, Phantasisialand and the Gestapo Museum. The Cathedral is amazing as well. Stayed in a small hotel beside the Cathedral - https://www.stern-am-rathaus.com. Didn’t get to sample the nightlife unfortunately.
