    If council acquire housing through Turnkey developments do the come fully finished ie: flooring white goods ,just curious as some are in my area .

    Generally no. The Housing (Standards for Rented Houses) Regulations 2017 only requires housing authorities like councils to just put the plumbing & electric supply for these appliances in place.

    It would be madness for a council to provide the appliances as they would be constantly be replacing them due to either the tenant selling them or abusing and breaking them.

    You get a grant for furnishing the place IIRC.

    It depends at what point the council decide to purchase.

    If its after the developer has fitted the places, then the houses may be more finished than council houses usually are.

    Thats the norm,but these are turn key and defition say ready to live in,and saw men putting in flooring ,but they are not realeased to tenants yet so was curious,and no im not getting one unfortunatly .

    I think, but not sure these were acquired in the way council get a percentage of houses in new build estates.
