Is it too much of a chance nowadays to take towing a 8 X 4 cow box without brakes with a Skoda Octavia and a 800kg cow in it? Is there still a lot of people at this kind of thing?

Never cows but occasionally I’d have a few weanlings in our twin axle 8*5 behind the Tiguan, wouldn’t be travelling far though, few miles to local mart.
    No breaks on it either.

Keep the speed low and hope to God she doesn't fish tail!!!!!! It's not the pulling power that's the problem with cars, it's that they are light on the back and very easy for the tail to start wagging the dog!!!

She will pull away no bother. Its the law I would be afraid about.

Is it a case even for jeeps the unbraked must be below 750kg? Only braked trailers can go to 3500

I never said he wouldnt pull it btw. Of course she'll pull it. Fishtailing lad, fishtailing. What's stopping the trailer when you touch the brake?

    Yep.
All trailers for cars/jeeps/vans above 750kg need breaks.

I think it’s different for tractors but don’t know exact details.
