I have a HD projector for a good few years now and I'm really happy with the picture.

Recently I've been thinking about upgrading to 4k, but the more reviews I'm reading, the more confused I'm becoming.

Firstly, is it worth upgrading to a 4k projector from HD? I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has done this.

Secondly, how much would you have to spend to see a difference from a decent HD to decent 4k image?

Just to note, in terms of viewing activity, I have a ps4 pro, Netflix UHD and Amazon Video and would consider getting a 4k Blu-ray player.

I demoed some faux 4K projectors against true 4K projectors and could not tell the difference on a 120” screen. I therefore opted for a faux 4K projector and now I have it installed I can barely see the difference on my 136” screen from I think 15’ seating position when compared to my 1080projector but I do have a legend 1080p in fairness.
IMHO contrast is more important than pixel count....
