I bought an Xiaomi A2 and I can figure out how to put on WiFi calling - I've tried the call settings - advanced settings but not showing up.
    With Eir🙈

Anyone set this up on the A2?

    Open phone app
    3 dot menu settings>
    Calling account>
    N/w provider mine is ***>
    WiFi calling

^^^ Instruction above from Mi A1

Are you on an eir plan, recent, that supports it?

Hi thanks I'll have a look at that now - hope it'll work.
The A2 was working great with Vodafone but changed to Eir for the WiFi calling as reception isn't the best in house. Hope I haven't wasted lots of money on the A2 that now won't work with the WiFi calling

My husbands iphone picks up the WiFi calling perfect

To the best of my knowledge Eir wifi calling is only available on Eir purchased handsets namely Apple and Samsung, possibly a few other manufacturers are included but definitely not your brand.

    eir WiFi calling enabled phones

If you have one of the mobile phones listed below, you can use eir WiFi calling straight away if you are on an eligible eir mobile plan. We're actively adding more phones to our list of supported devices – Customers on devices which become eligible will be contacted directly.

    Apple: 5C to current 8, 8+ and X
    Samsung: S6/S6 Edge/S7/S7 Edge/S8/S8 Plus/A3 2017/A5 2017/J3 2017/J5 2017/A6/A8/S9/S9 Plus
    Huawei: P10/P Smart/P20/P20 Pro/P20 Lite
    Sony: XZ1/XZ Premium/XZ2/XA2

No mention of xiaomi devices, and since they are not available from network providers here, it is doubtful they will be added to support list. (Coming to Three soon)

    Hi
I enquired with Eir before buying the phone and they said once the phone has WiFi calling abilities it doesn't need to be one of their phones

VOLTE is standard and works almost universally, VOWIFI is a bit of a mess.

Eir told me a different story, only certain phones are supported. I have a HTC 10 from Eir. The phone itself does support WiFi calling but Eir have it disabled in the firmware. Was over and back to them when WiFi calling was launched and there is no way around it.
