We're looking to get a dolls house for the little one. Have had a few 'wooden' toys at this point made from MDF that just don't last. Would be keen to find something that would be a good quality item ideally made in Ireland. Any of you parents been through this process lately or could possibly recommend somewhere?

    Thanks

I've seen wooden shelves used as doll houses. Just get a plain wooden shelf with 4 or 6 compartments for the different rooms. You can get the wooden furniture separately, Lidl and Aldi usually have them coming up to Christmas. If you wanted it to look more like a house, you could just add a roof made from plywood.

It’s probably not what you want but Aldi have all the wooden toys this Thursday. We’ve had a few of the sets and they’re really good quality and very chunky wood. They have a doll house and all the small furniture sets etc.
Haven’t had the doll houses so can’t say for sure what quality is but might be worth checking.

The Aldi dolls house is lovely. I think it's €40. Comes with figures and furniture. So easy to put together, it literally slots together. Santy brought it 2 years ago and it is still regularly used.
