    Hi all,

After 2 years of no issues with Eir, I've started to get regular wifi disconnects every couple of minutes. This has started to happen in the aftermath of the recent Eir DSL issues.

Checking the router logs, I see the following each time I lose connection:

Anyone have any ideas what's going on here? The wifi router disappears off the list of devices when this happens, it's almost as if the router is restarting/resetting itself.

    Pretty much.

So is it a faulty router? I see other Eir customers complaining about the exact same issue.

My connection drops always start with the "Security Warning Detect UDP port scan attack, scan packet from xxx.xx.xx.xx" warning. Is this what causes the router to reset itself, and is there anything I could do to block this "attack"?

A few years ago I had a router that restarted itself and eir just sent me out a new one.

They could tell from their side that it kept disconnected and reconnecting
