Faulty heating control

Hope this is the right place to post this..

I have the below heating control in a separate annex to the main house that doesn't get used that much and has its own oil tank and boiler.

Tried to switch it on last week and the display seemed dead. I removed it from the wall and reattached and it came on for a second and went off. Replaced the cr2032 battery but still no joy.
Do you think the control panel is dead/faulty and needs replacing or should I be worried something else caused the unit to die?

    Appreciate any help whatsoever.
