I don't if people have been watching this Al Murray program where he visits various countries and asks, why does everyone hate the English.

So far the show has been to France and Wales, its Ireland tonight at 9pm, on every Monday.
Still the Scots and Germans to come in coming weeks.

    Just a heads up :)

Tonight is also the "why does everyone hate Andrew Maxwell?" episode...

Might have something to do with the colonial experience.

Saw the Welsh one last night. Not that impressed TBH.

Might see what the Irish one is about, if I can bear to listen to Maxwell shout his way through another appearance.

Seriously, of all the Irish comedians they could have gotten on...

Watched bits of the French episode - wasn't that impressed! I think Al Murray just reinforced why everyone hates the English - he took none of the history on board!

I expect the Irish episode to end with a leprechaun joke.

I expect the Irish episode to end with a leprechaun joke.
It starts with a leprechaun joke or two, but is actually pretty good after that. Maxwell wasn’t shouty at all.

From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.
