Hi has anyone used this before.
I'm trying to charge a flat battery but keep getting an error message 'Err'.

Car battery is fairly new and charger is brand new.

    Any help appreciated.

I'd try and charge a different battery to see if it's the charger at fault

most of the modern chargers being sold by Lidl etc have protections built in that won't allow them to charge unless the battery they are connected to has some life in it, if it's completely dead then the charger won't start charging. It's a protection against connections being the wrong way round.

One way round it, not ideal, but it will work, is to connect a good battery with jump leads to get the charger to start, then wait a few minutes before taking the jump leads off so that a bit of life is put into the dead battery. Usually, once the charger starts charging, it will keep going.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁
