duplicate order

I ordered a number on items online from a well known Irish retailer. One of the 4 items was damaged on arrival and I contacted CS to advise. They told me they would send out the replacement and to keep/dispose of the damaged item.

A few days later the entire order arrived. I rang immediately to tell them and was told the Manager would call me back the next day - that was almost 2 weeks ago. I have only been charged once.

My question is: is there a time limit on how long the merchant can leave the goods with me without collecting or would the goods be considered mine as they have not gotten back in touch with me?

30 days from notifying them or 6 months if you didn't are the limits for unsolicited goods.
