    Hi folks,
Is it possible get a telehandler/loader for around the 8k mark. Would like a skidsteer but would be concerned with ground clearance as its not all concrete around our place. Were increasing numbers here and the tractor we have is just to slow and can struggle with heavy bales.
Or we could trade in what we have, and add a few pound to it but would worry we be just replacing what we have.
    Thanks.

Skidsteers are great yokes but you need to have a concrete yard to make them viable. There useless on uneven ground and dangerous if carrying a load on uneven surfaces The best thing to do would be to a hire out one to see. You can use them for lots of jobs outside of feeding work but you need to have the right set up. There not too user friendly for auld fellas as hard to get in and out of unless you get a JCB Robot.

Volvo L30 are nice machines. It would be very hand to find a clean telehandler for that money. You'd have better luck sourcing a skidsteer or pivot loader but you'd want to be weary as plenty lemons out there. I always like to have back-up so would keep the tractor but only if you use it for field work etc. Other option would be buy a fresh tractor with a loader and trade in. Make sure you get on a shuttle if you do.

Would you know how an l20 would fare out compared to an l30?

if you had a decent enough tractor, say 90 to 120 HP Ross more engineering do a range of loaders for about six to eight grand, depending on spec, may not be everyone's choice, but worth thinking about,

I have a fairly good tractor around 110hp but I'm not a fan of loaders on tractors anymore. Bales, implements etc are gone very heavy now. Would only wreck the tractor imo.
