Hi I know I’ve seen posts but they all seem to differ slightly from my situation. I’m looking at buying a pickup from the uk. It’s a double cab and comes with 5seats as standard. I have an adress in the uk and could possibly leave it there for the 6months and bring it home avoiding VRT. When it’s in Ireland I have a company and car register it that way. But I will not be using this jeep for anything company or work related, only private. What is the best option for me? I want it on my own prersonal insurance. Bring it straight back to Ireland and register it as a private vechile and pay the VRT, esstinaly making it a private veichel straight away avoiding the need to pay VRT if I changed it at a later time? I don’t imagine being able to avoid VRT then registering it as a commercial and try to get private insurance will work?
