Im sure there is a thread for this, but Im too upset to read it.

So, we have two dogs, a terrier(girl) and a gsdx(boy).
I wouldn't describe them as friends but they get along as a pack when needed and will wait for the other when separated on walks or the like.

Anyway, girl dog has 2-6 months to live according to the vet.

Im concerned about the effect of her going will have on him, especially as he has separation anxiety.

Does anyone have any experience or tips on what to do for him once she has gone?

Hi there, we recently went through same thing and sounds like how our two got on. We lost our darling lurcher to aggressive bone cancer. It's a terrible thing to go through.
Our terrier missed her awfully and would wait by the door when we were out of the room. We recently adopted another dog and she kinda chose who we adopted. She's so much happier again with a pal to play with.
Sorry for your circumstances. I know how hard it is.
