PayPal Phishing Alert

    Whilst logging in to my Paypal account this morning, my logging in was aborted by my anti virus Avast, warning of possible phishing. Was wondering has anybody else had similar problems recently. Scanned computer with various malware/virus applications but all negative.

    I assume that you double check the url was https://www.paypal.com that you typed in, not from a link on an email or similar. I don't use Avast so not sure why avast will think it was a phishing attempt

    Yes , connection was secure with a valid certificate, url was not from a link in an email... however I tried again a few hours later after again running a full Avast scan, a full online Trend Housecall scan, a full Malwarebytes on demand scan, a full Adwcleaner scan and finally a Hitman Pro scan ( All negative), and this time no warning from Avast. It has me slightly confused!
