    Properly been asked many times,
have 2 good winter tyres, have 2 tyres need replacing, if i put the 2 winter tyres on the same axle and have 2 standard tyres on the other axle will this pass a NCT? (front wheel drive Astra)
now don't want a debate you really should do this or that,
will it pass a NCT ?

In my lay man’s mind, I’d say it’s the tyre thread that matters for n.c.t. I’d imagine they will check the tyres for thread levels, so once they are not worn or damaged you should be fine.

Not 100% sure but i think as long as they are the same size width etc on the same axle you are grand.
