error messages when trying to load webpages

so since this evening none of our devices can connect to webpages(except for boards strangely enough). When searching google each device is getting error messages such as ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED and DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
i tried switching the modem on and off, changing the IPV4 DNS Servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, deleting cache and data from google chrome but no luck. ISP is virgin media and youtube is also working but not apps such as reddit.
