Bought a new Samsung TV there. Set it all up today and it's got a CI Card Adapter with it. It's listed in the contents but it doesn't say what it's for or tell me to connect it. I can see where it goes and all but do I need it? I tried looking it up but all the threads are from years ago.

It'd be for encrypted services (for a viewing card) on digital terrestrial transmissions, but there are none in Ireland (Saorview), so you don't need it.
