We have a Composite front door, have noticed over the past few months that it is flaking at the bottom. What's the best solution and what would I fill it with?

    Thoughts greatly appreciated

If it’s not under warranty then use car body filler.

I've seen this quite often. I suspect the lath isn't primed the same way as the main door. Sand off the existing paint, use an appropriate primer, ESP or the like, and then paint with the matching colour. The manufacturer should be able to supply you with the RAL number

Is the brown bit solid wood or MDF?

Since that surface gets all the run off from the vertical face of the door it seems like the one part you'd particularly want to be made of plastic, or at least well treated wood.

Are they all made like that?

Is the door walloping off the corner of a wall when it opens by any chance?
