Hi Has anyone traveled to Panama ? I have booked 10days in Panama and plan about 4 days in Panama city and I am looking at traveling around the country for the remaining time.
We like nature walking sightseeing so if anyone had any tips or advice that would be great.

We had a great trip there a few years ago. Highlight was undoubtedly Coiba National Park - http://www.coibanationalpark.com/ we stayed overnight and travelled with Heliconia http://hotelheliconiapanama.com/ owned by a Dutch couple who were sound. It is an expensive trip but we were delighted we did it.
I think 4 days might be too much in Panama City.
We also went to Boquete up in the mountains, very different to the coast. Interesting coffee plantations and we did a bird watching trip which was really interesting.
We finished up with a few days on the beach in Bocas del Toro which was fun and then flew back to Panama City and then home.
There was loads more we could have done, we could have gone down south (east?) towards Colombia and visited Darien National Park but we were a bit cautious about the potential for danger down there (drug route from Colombia).

Thanks for that info. Did you find the place overall safe. I was looking at using public transport for a few days from Panama City.

Generally safe yes. We did switch bus in David which is a dangerous city, I would avoid swopping bus there at night time, felt a little nervous even during the day when we did it, but nothing happened.

Do try somewhere near David or Boquete for hiking. There is a great hostel called Lost and Found. In Panama city go up to the Canal - really interesting.
