Slow rear demister

Turned on the demister for the first time since last winter this morning and it was painfully slow, it took 15mins to clear the window when normally it would take less than two. I got out and checked it and the rear window was barely warm. I have heated mirrors too and they were hot to the touch, so there is an issue.

All the bars were working, and I stuck a voltmeter across the window and I have 12.5v there. The relay is making the normal clicky sound as well.

    It's a Peugeot 508, anyone any ideas?

2 minutes to clear a rear window??? No car I have ever been in or owned was the quick, most took 4/5 minutes to clear the window completely.

If the window was particularly wet with condensation it will take longer to dry it out.

If things like the rear lamps work, and the window heats up eventually then it's possibly not anything wrong.

    Is car old?
Did you check on Peugeot forums?

I reseated the relay and that seems to have solved it.

May well have been my imagination however :)
