    Is this the same story?:

Also, can anyone verify/refute my suspicion that that's a pellet gun of some sort in their picture?:

Whats the issue here? Is there no hunting allowed in that particular area?

First article in the rural life section.Yeah an airgun and a BS article stating the bloody obvious.

"If you want to keep someone away from your house, Just fire the shotgun through the door."

Athlone SPCA FB page, it’s a pricket, it’s in season, they may or may not have had permission to hunt there, the gralloch was left behind up a deserted grassy lane which suggests it was out of the public eye and would have been gone within 24 hours once foxes found it. Yet this anti vigilante has taken it upon himself to act as the law and stir trouble. At least he admits that badgers spread tb !!

If its a pricket, and in season, why is this person being taken seriously?

The only one who can clarify if anything illegal happened is the landowner. If there was permission in place to hunt this land for the particular person(s) who shot the deer nothing illegal happened. As for "dumping" gralloch, not in or near a watercourse or a public place and all is fine.
