I recently returned an application to place my mother on the vulnerable customer list but I've heard nothing back. How do I know that she is on this list.
A planned interruption notice for next week arrived today lasting from 10:00 ti 16:00 . The whole point of putting her on the list was to avoid disruptions?

    Hi Brian,

Thank you for getting in touch.

From time to time, ESB Networks need to carry out maintenance for safety/upgrades, which will cause an interruption to the electricity supply in a particular locality. It is not possible to prevent this interruption affecting individual homes.

The vulnerable customer form, however, is for ensuring that those customers are prioritised in terms of supply restoration. The form is provided by the customer's billing company, which passes it to ESB Networks. Here is the ESB Networks policy regarding vulnerable customers. We recommend contacting ESB Networks (with the property's MPRN to hand) on 1850 372 757 to find out whether your mother's application has been processed by now. ESB Networks may require her to be present on the call also.

    Regards,
    Una
