We have an old(ish) alarm - came with the house 10 years or so ago.
We got some renovations done in the interim which essantially removed 2 windows that until that point had sensors on them.
Since then we have had a red light visible on the casing and an error message flashing on the screen. Alarm works fine though.
We intend on selling this property in the next 6-12 months and ideally would like there to not be an error looking thing with the alarm.

Electrician who was out (yonks ago) said we need the original engineers code - dont know it or who originally installed it.
Surely theres some kind of master code relative to the system in question to allow resets of this nature?

    Advice or guideance appreciated.

    What system have you installed?

The red light would indicate the system is in alarm.
If you put in your code it should turn off the alarm and list off the faults.
    Whats the fault its saying?
