Any plans to implement a minimum post count before a user can start a thread in AH? New user has used their first 3 posts to create 3 particularly **** threads in AH.

It was a regular re-reg troll. They were sitebanned and 2 of the 3 threads removed within the hour. The 3rd one has not been deleted presumably based on recent feedback that AH mods and Admins should not automatically delete all threads started if there is some potential within any of them.

Either way, threads rapidly drop off the front page of AH, unless there is some interest in the underlying topic, in which case there's arguably little harm caused

Does this sort of behaviour warrant a change as suggested. Well currently other minimum postcounts are applied manually where they apply (I'm thinking of Feedback in particular)

The only readily enforceable way of stopping new posters starting threads is to have an access mechanism, which is very unlikely to happen in AH, particularly given the concerns raised over such a system applying in Politics Café 2

One of the main attractions to new users is being able to post in AH, and some, including posters who may have closed prior account(s) often sign up to start a thread there (not that it's something I would encourage newbies to do as it's a place that typically takes a little time to settle into)
