Anyone put loader brackets on McHale bale splitter.. I have on for 3 point linkage and was going to put on loader .
Just wondering have lads done this .. At a quick glance I would say I have a bit of in filling to do with box on frame to take loader brackets . Would he weld or bolt with u bolts onto plate welded to back of brackets.
    Cheers .

I think the frame is designed so loader brackets can be bolted on to the box iron

Some engineering firms make adaptors to allow you fit 3 point linkage impliments to whatever type of loader you have. Have a hunt through donedeal.ie

I've seen the splitters on loaders, so it can be done.... Being a McHale product, I'd be very surprised if the box iron wasn't the correct size to take the U bolts....

What would be the main advantages of having it on the front loader vs back of the tractor?

Bales are stacked so I could take top line down first as with loader as appossed to pulling bottom one out and risk of top bale falling and warping spillter .
Other reason is i can get it closer to barrier when filling passage in closed in shed once cut .

I done a bit of measuring today.... The box in my bale splitter and bale handler, both McHale, is the same size....So, the U bolts should fit your bale splitter fine.......

I don't know.... I got them in McHales, but I'd say they'd be widely available. They're like a square U, if that makes sense. They sit tightly around the box iron...
