    Hi guys.

I’ve been considering running Easter/summer camps around my local area instead of drawing the dole, as the service that I work in closed during these times. Just wondering does anyone know if I need insurance for these camps? And do I need to pay tax?

It will prob be mon-thurs 10-12.30 and will be doing thinks like art, games, music etc.

Any help or tips would be great!

Yes and yes, is the short answer.

Whatever about not declaring it for tax but running it without adequate insurance would be a huge mistake.

Not alone do you need insurance you need Garda clearance under Child Protection legislation. You should not attempt this without consulting someone with full knowledge of what is involved. You cannot just bring a bunch of kids to a park for a kick about as a career.
