Question Regarding Issue with Senior Management

    Hi,

Title is probably a bit dramatic but i seem to found myself in a very unusual position and im not to sure how to proceed.

TL:DR - Issue allowed to go as far as senior management, would a fresh start be for the best?

I work in Insurance and have been in my current role for over 2 years and i am permanent.

Essentially i work in a call centre and basically what has happened is the senior manager of the department, as part of an internal audit im told, asked for an external auditor to pull random phone calls and forward examples of good, bad, and average customer service for feedback and Unfortunately 2 of the bad calls were my own.

Now admittedly i was already aware of these calls as they happened earlier in the year and had already discussed them with my supervisor, who is currently on leave, and received prior feedback and guidance.

Now upon these calls being listened to by the manager i have had to have 2 separate meetings with a stand-in supervisor and a personal who who rank just bellow the manager.

No disciplinary action was taken with the the meetings deciding it was a training issue that needed to be corrected through scrutiny of my future calls, however i was advised that the manager was NOT happy at all.

Now the situation i find myself in is that if i ever wish to progress within the company its the manager that would carry out the interview process and agree to promotions ect.

I feel that I pretty much have no future with the company, the stand in supervisor feels this isnt true and that i need to trust the company and the process.

My actual supervisor briefly returned and when they were made aware of the situation they were disgusted that i was singled out and the matter was allowed to go as far as the manager and asked has this impacted my motivation which understandably has been demolished.

Anytime I think im moving on from this matter I'm reminded by the person who reports to the manager that, and i quote "I will have to do EXTRAORDINARY things" to change the managers opinion. To be honest i dont even know what that means..

If you've taken the time to read this far i thank you for your time and await any thoughts/feedback

    Thank you!

The manger might not be there forever that wouldn't concern me as if you become the example of how to do it instead of how not your previous wrongs will be forgotten. By Extradonary they mean you need to be the best, an asset rather then a liability.
Put the head down and work hard and it'll all be history soon enough.

The person to watch in this is the one just below management.
They’re latching onto this and being the next likely supervisor they will need upwards managing.

Sit out this year and I presume you will have EOY reviews, that is the last chance for them to deal with this and after that you should essentially get a fresh start.

Watch that this issue isn’t carried over and over constant being regurgitated at reviews. Past the EOY review I’d entertain no discussion of the issue. Managers who can’t let something go are hard to deal with.
