    Hi,

We are currently searching for a supplier for a new build, we're leaning with going with Sean Doyle, they can do the entire job which some other companies had difficulties with.

Anyone have Doyle windows and would you recommend? How did you find their after sales service, for issues etc?

    thanks.

I got them to put in updated uPVC windows and composite door in my house 2 years ago.
Found them very good, very tidy.
Aftersales no problem, rang for 2 issues, wanted a few more window drain covers and safety devices came out a day or two after I called them.

We got Windows and doors off them, couldn't fault them at all. there was more of a mess left by the guy who reattached the alarm contacts than they left after replacing the entire window. That was two years ago and no issues.

I also used them 2ish years ago for a full house of windows and doors. Various issues arose during and after installation but all were quickly put right by them, communication was good. They were even out a few months later to slightly adjust the front door when asked. Would recommend them.

Can I ask where in the Country you guys are based? West or East of the Shannon. I'm wondering if the one side has worse after sales service? There was a thread on facebook and a LOT of people reported issues with them.

We read the recommendations on this thread and bought windows from them. I wouldn't recommend them based on our experience.. They promised that they would fit on a particular date. They weren't ready and didn't phone us to tell us. Very unprofessional. We're hoping they will be ready two weeks later than planned. It's holding up building work.

I got Sean Doyle Windows to replace all windows and 2 doors in my house in November 2018. A few minor snags were dealt with very quickly. But I have had them out several times since and yesterday was the most recent and hopefully last time to deal with a window that leaks when it rains. To get them out to look at this problem took countless calls a and a number of weeks each time. Also when my wife contacted their office yesterday afternoon to ask if the guy was calling to the house that day as promised the person to whom she spoke told my wife that it was not her problem and hung up on her! Not very customer friendly. Couldn't recommend this outfit based on my experience of the after sales service.

Did you notice that the first post received a response within 4 minutes?

I see your point but where was he posting in the previous six months? It wasn't in any forum in the category Home & Garden (building, electrical, plumbing, DIY etc.) Then he springs out of the woodwork and responds to a query in this forum, four minutes after a query about a specific supplier was posted.

Maybe it's a coincidence but every time I see a query like this followed by a rapid response, I invariably look at the posting history of the responder and it usually throws up red flags - no post at all in the previous few months (sometimes years) or, as in this case, no history of posting in any related fora.

or perhaps they were on the home page at the time and seen the topic and replied?

That’s what I was thinking, in fact if it hadn’t been a quick response then it would be suspicious as they would have had to be looking at a related forum.

Sorry I'm so late in responding this time :-)

This. I often see posts that jump out at me on the home page, due to a trigger word that relates to something in my recent experience, and go to read them and maybe even reply, even if they're in forums that I don't usually frequent.

Yes I think that's what happened to me, but i can't quiet remember as it was 11 months ago.
And I usually access boards on a Web browser on a pc so I see a lot of threads that way when I goto the website

If it was a plant... do you think they are scanning web pages for their name and replying within 4 minutes on a pre-existing account?

That's some NSA level stuff right there

Didnt use Sean Doyle myself, rang for a quote and they said they were very busy and it would be 10-14 days. Never heard from them again and Im not one to go chasing companies when trying to spend my money.

We had an absolute nightmare with Sean Doyle and Sons. I'm in the process if writing a Google review. We spent €12950 on a door and four double-glazed aluminium windows. Mistakes were made, but not rectified in a professional and timely manner - far from it. Not sure if I'm allowed recount our experience on here, but it was a draining and stressful affair in the end.

I wish this company would stop littering the County Wicklow countryside and Co.Dublin with their advertising signage placed at random junctions, have spotted loads of them in my area. Reported them to the council last year who came out and removed the signs and they went up again. They are literally wasting taxpayers money by the council having to clean up after their littering and they have more important things to be doing than cleaning up after a window company who want free advertising by the road side. I see their signs a lot around Tallaght as well alongside the 'Cash for Cars' signage at traffic lights so they will even litter in their own back yard. This is not the behaviour of a professional company IMO, it tells me they are a company who cut corners.

Could you PM me? I'm currently in the middle of something with this company. Thanks.
