Then eureka, stage an event which is executed with the kind of barbaric and naive precision the world expects from such a ****hole, reinforcing everyone's preconceived notions. Allow the story to grow legs.

Then bring forward evidence that such an event never occured. Express immence disgust that your good name was ever sullied.

OP your post reads as almost gibberish but after a bit of rereading your on about Saudi Arabia and from the latest reports, it looks like yes they did murder the journalist.

The Saudi Arabian government is considering a plan to admit that missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside its consulate in Istanbul.
Saudi Arabia has insisted that Khashoggi left the consulate safely on Oct. 2, although he has not been seen since.
Now the Saudi government is reportedly discussing admitting that Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate, while giving the crown prince plausible deniability.

Never had a doubt in my mind the man goes in and does not come out.
